Aloha, my astrology-loving and spiritually-aware friends. All last week, as the moon has been moving through the higher, more society-connected signs of Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and now Pisces, planets in my own natal chart have been deeply affected. Each of those signs represents the highest octave of the elements of fire, earth, air, and water. The first octave of Aries, Taurus, Gemini, and Cancer looks through the lens of self. The second octave of Leo, Virgo, Libra, and Scorpio sees the world through the lens of self and another. The third octave of Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces sees itself in relation to the whole crowd, the group, the collective of society. Before you look at your own sun sign and judge yourself based on this astrological tidbit, keep in mind that you have the entire zodiac wheel represented in your natal, or birth, chart. You are a very unique symphony, a music of the spheres, composed through the interchange of planetary aspect patterns and planetary placements in the houses, or areas of life, expressed as your own beautiful soul. As the planets continue to move through time, they interact with the music of your birth chart, bringing choices, experiences, growth, change, and transcendence. Just like photographs of you as an infant and you now are different but the same person, so, too is your natal chart always with you, but you become new over and over again. You will experience what it is to be all the signs at some point in time or at some level of your consciousness.

All week, I stalled on writing my "traditional" horoscopes and trends for you. Today is Sunday, September 11th, and, as I opened my astrology software program to see where the planets are and how they may be affecting you, the full moon in the mutable water sign of Pisces gave me a nice wet fish-slap in the face. Yes, I've been looking at its ripening beauty grow in the velvet star-spangled evening sky on these sweet, cool September evenings and I know where it occurs in my own chart, but I've been ignoring the symbols and signs as I try to stay in the "normal" world and do what I think is the right thing to do in terms of money, production, business, etc. I have been ignoring my own internal GPS, although some of the messages I have been receiving about the global consciousness and the importance of the current time did get modified and mainstreamed for last week's astrological trends. All my life, I have felt like a non-conformist trying to conform. My chart holds the sun (self-awareness) in rebellious, oddball Aquarius, Jupiter (growth, abundance) and Saturn (authority, restriction, work, structure) in the 8th house of metaphysics and the occult in reserved and traditional Capricorn. All my knowledge and experiences in things metaphysical and spiritual have come to me through doubt and skepticism. When I first learned of planting a garden by moon signs years ago, I had to plant a garden by the moon and a control garden where I did everything opposite to astrological gardening wisdom. I have to see it to believe it and it took me years to understand that when we want to manifest something, we see it when we believe it. My Mercury is also in Aquarius in the 9th house, so I'm here to communicate and teach unusual things. My moon in Aries in the 11th house means I am to share it with a group and the trine between my moon and Uranus, ruler of my sun sign, in the 3rd house of communication reinforces my interest and emotional "knowing" of astrology and its potential for helping to create a life from a point of awareness. My Neptune in Scorpio in the 5th house has given a lifelong interest in metaphysics and spirituality and I especially have a fascination with the laws of abundance and manifestation. I have created things out of nowhere and thin air many times in my past, and my Mars in Cancer in my 1st house of self trine to my Neptune in Scorpio in the 5th leads me to persist, believing that someday, I can do it at will. I know that we are all moving to a point of consciousness where we will instantly manifest what we desire as we think it. I think the current full moon in Pisces, following the recent new moon in Virgo, is bringing a more widespread awareness of this process of imagining/seeing, believing/receiving to us all now. The challenges within my chart, in the form of squares between my moon and Jupiter/Saturn and my Mercury and sun square to Neptune, make it difficult for me to feel safe or believe I will be accepted if I am too "far out," New Age, or non-traditional. When I left New York, where I always felt like anything but the typical suburban Barbie I felt I was expected to be, and landed in Sedona, Arizona, a mecca for spirituality and unusual interests, I finally felt at home and surprisingly normal among the diverse population of New Agers living there. Now, I live in a place with mainstream, traditional consciousness and I feel I am holding a frequency in place for the benefit of others without them even being aware of what I am doing. Many of you who feel you are somewhere that you don't belong could be performing a similar energy elevation service where you are now. The Internet allows people to connect in ways that weren't possible years ago, and if we can't find our tribe in our own neighborhood, we can find our tribe online, which is what many of us are doing. Can you believe we are moving to a level of awareness where we can be somewhere in our consciousness and experience a person or place and they will also have the same ability? What do you think will replace the Internet? I think telepathy will one day be our main form of communication.

This full moon joins my Venus and my lunar South Node in my 10th house of career and standing in the outer world. It opposes my lunar North Node conjunct Pluto, planet of personal power and transformation, in discerning Virgo in my 4th house of home, family, and psychological foundations. The full moon also opposes transiting Mercury, planet of thought and communication, which is joining my North Node and Pluto. The recent Virgo new moon activated my North Node and Pluto, and I launched a new website offering a new service, Life Purpose Reports, which evolved out of seeing that my particular skill at synthesizing a chart and getting to the core of why someone is here at the soul level, what potential avenues they may follow, what skills they have, and what possible challenges or weaknesses they may have is what I am best at doing for people. Relationship analysis is my other forte. There are many wonderful horoscope writers in the world who follow the same rules and formulas that I do to write daily and weekly horoscopes, so I am now at a point in my work where I must weigh whether my time spent writing lengthy weekly horoscopes and trends is the best use of my time when I have people lining up for private readings and my family is involved in a major project that demands my energy input, as well. I do get wonderful feedback from people, but when I am providing these services, I do not always feel that I am giving the highest and best of my personal, individual purpose. When I look at the growth of traffic to my site over the course of a year (I really have to pat myself on the back for following through on something for a year - not an easy trick for an Aries moon/Aquarius sun/Gemini ascendant), I am in turns either disappointed with myself and my efforts or I find myself wondering, "What is it I am supposed to do now - and how can I best do it?" At this point, I have not come to a conclusion, because I have only just asked the question. My site at What is My Life About? is only a partial answer. This Pisces full moon and transiting Mercury poking at my Venus/South Node in the 10th and North Node/Pluto in the 4th is emphasizing that I communicate what I feel at my core, identifying what I love most that brings me joy and restructuring/prioritizing my time spent with family in balance with my career. As I write this, my partner is working on digging up and fixing a water line on the property that runs to a home he is rebuilding/transforming for my adult daughter to live in so she can join the family. The pressure of time is upon us to complete this project. A mundane "benefit" (not) of having Pluto in Virgo in the 4th house of home has shown up as plumbing stuff for me over the years, any time a transit touches off my Pluto. Astrology has a practical-joker side for sure. A 4th-house North Node like me is meant to focus on home and family, but to make the most of my North Node, I must also use the other parts of my chart and make use of my ability to analyze using astrology and my intuition and to help people transform. When I focus too much on career growth or my outer world reputation, as indicated by my South Node in the 10th house, the life purpose work of my 4th house North Node suffers. I am now at a point of getting back on track, whatever that means, for my own soul. At this point, I am planning on continuing daily short Tweetscopes on Twitter and Facebook and may simply post them daily for all signs on Aloha Astro in place of weekly horoscopes and trends so that I can serve people better through personal readings.

Although you may not have this Pisces full moon activating things as strongly in your own chart as they are mine, I know the potential for intense emotions is strong due to the depth and breadth of Pisces energy. You can enter your birth data at Aloha Astro for a free chart, where you can see where you have Pisces in your chart and what planets you may have in that sign, as well. You may also feel ripples of this full moon energy wherever you have the planet Neptune, ruler of Pisces, in your chart. If you have planets in your 12th house, which is the natural home of Pisces, you may experience stronger emotions this full moon than people who have empty 12th houses might.

Here is my chart, if you are interested in looking.

Pisces, ruler of the 12th house of dreams, the subconscious, and the collective, is ruled by the planet Neptune. Here are a whole bunch of words and phrases related to Pisces/Neptune/12th house: water, ocean, fog, mist, inspiration, illusion, imagination, deception, addictions, the subconscious, victim/savior/martyr, joy/sorrow, bittersweet, Heaven, Christ Consciousness, Divine intervention, saving grace, lost/found, faith/doubt, intuition, symbolic language, telepathy, forever/eternity/timeless, ether, no boundaries, diffuse, healing, sacrifice/making sacred, profound beauty, the bridge between impossible and possible, costumes/masks/camouflage, magic, fantasy, other dimensions, meditation, dreams, OBEs, astral travel, channeling, spirit/body connection, angels, guides, Unity consciousness/one with all that is, prisons, hospitals, nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, monasteries, ashrams, intentional communities, creating through intention, and accepting your Divinity. As I write this, I am hearing, "The river Jordan is chilly and wide, milk and honey on the other side," from the song "Michael, Row Your Boat Ashore," which seems appropriate for a moon culminating in the last sign of the zodiac wheel. I also see an image of a pearl in an oyster. Both symbolize that to arrive at a promised land or receive a rare treasure, you have to deal with earthly tedium.

My software program shows me not just the current placement of the traditional planets, but also a group of asteroids. I do not include them in my regular interpretations because I am still observing their energy and because I feel the basics are more than enough for most people who just want to know what is happening in their lives or are just learning about astrology. Today, when I looked at the pattern formed by both the traditional planets and the asteroids, I got a clear intuitive sense that we stand at a doorway at this full moon. Life seems to unfold in spirals around us at all levels. We are now at a turn of an energetic spiral where we can look ahead or behind. We are facing a mirror of sorts where we must choose the reflection or be the source making the image. I wish I had a better way to explain this, because it feels so vitally important to me. Take the plans you may have launched at the Virgo new moon, cast them up in the air, and watch to see what gets blown away as empty husks and what is a viable seed. Send them out on the ocean of your spirit and see what sinks and what floats. Don't let necessity lead you by the nose into past paradigms when following joy and your dreams can put you in a whole new dimension instead. Don't put off what seems like a silly dream for some other day. Here are two videos from two of my favorite female musicians that poignantly express the energy of a Pisces full moon: "Both Sides Now" by Judy Collins and "Circle Game" by Joni Mitchell.

A series of totally bizarre dreams over the last few mornings made me look deep inside today. Most of the time, I can easily interpret my dreams and the symbols in them in relation to my life and what is going on for me. This time, I am at a loss. Since one of the things that became clear to me this morning, after looking at the transits to my chart, is that I must break with tradition today, take off a mask or drop an illusion and share what is most important to me now, I will tell you the dreams. Perhaps they are meant for the collective and not just me personally.

First Dream: I am standing at the edge of a large hole in the ground. Fourteen people are in the bottom of the hole, willingly preparing to die. It seems they believe having dirt bulldozed on top of them is better than some other alternative, which is unknown to me in the dream. I cannot see who is filling the hole with dirt and I have no emotional charge around these fourteen people choosing to be buried alive - I am just neutrally observing them. The hole is filled entirely, they do not cry out, and when the hole is full, it is as if they never were there at all. Immediately following this dream, I read an e-mail forwarded to me by a friend. She sent me the article, The Separation of Worlds: Leaving People Behind, from Denise Le Fay. This part of the article seemed to coincide with my dream:

"I know how harsh and heartless this Separation of Worlds reality may sound to some people, but, until you've perceived from a higher level of awareness it is hard to understand that divine perfection exists in absolutely every choice every soul makes. Believe me when I tell you that some other soul or group of souls thought and felt the same way about you at some previous ascension/evolutionary point! And look where you are now." And also, "Freewill for all with zero judgment for whatever choice is made. It is perfect no matter what so be in Heart knowing joy for All."

Coincidentally, I had recently been strongly impressed by a webinar with Rikka Zimmerman, an Access Consciousness practitioner, hosted by Darius Barazandeh at You Wealth Revolution. Several times during the clearing process, Rikka talked about how the single most important thing you could do to radically change your life would be to let go of your own self-judgment. The Access Consciousness process of asking questions and stepping out of polarity, beyond right/wrong, point of creation/point of destruction, moves so much energy that even animals present in the room listening to the calls get excited and behave as if something wonderful is happening.

My second dream involved two wolves getting into a house I was in to get at food I had. They attacked me and I had to curl into a tight ball to protect my face, but was able to chase them out the door. Hmm…keeping wolves from the door is an expression we use to mean fending off the scary things in life that take away our sustenance and threaten us. In the dream, there was also a gray fox that nipped at my hand when I reached toward it, but I stood my ground and reached for the fox again and it became submissive and tame. About a month ago, I did read an article in a National Geographic magazine issue about scientists studying foxes to understand the process of domestication and the genetic evolution of species. The dream brought to mind Machaelle Small-Wright's Perelandra Gardening book and her MAP book, which I read years ago, both of which made me more aware of the forces of nature and the spiritual realms which are standing by, waiting to work with us if we ask.

I think the dream was telling me that the way to deal with fear (the wolves) is to be clever as a fox and work with the energy of nature. Also, about twelve years ago, a fox came to me in a meditation with the message to be alert. In the busy-ness of life and business, I have been looking at what I think I should be looking at and not at what Spirit has been guiding me to perceive lately. Have you done the same? This Pisces full moon arrives at a time when the quality of light in the mornings and early evenings casts a magical, otherworldly glow on the fields and mountains near my home. The drier, cooler air makes the blue of the sky deeper and the clouds more majestic, but as I drove down the road toward town today, exulting in the wonder of nature around me, I saw frowning faces drive past me, focused on the cell phone attached to their ear, oblivious to the rare moment time and nature offered to appreciate and connect through their senses to their very home, which nourishes and supports them.

The Pisces full moon lights up the deep sea of the soul for us all, which is very, very deep. This is the sign of great mysteries and looking for the answers to seemingly unanswerable questions. Where the new moon in Virgo brought us finite points to ponder, the full moon in Pisces brings us to infinity. Here are some quotes to ponder during the Pisces full moon:

"If you aren't in over your head, how do you know how tall you are?" - T. S. Eliot

"There is no absolute point of view from which real and ideal can be finally separated and labeled." - T. S. Eliot

"Where is the Life we have lost in living? Where is the wisdom we have lost in knowledge? Where is the knowledge we have lost in information?" - T. S. Eliot

Horoscope for September 5-11

Posted on 10:44 PM by Unknown
Cross-posted from Aloha Astro

Aries (March 21st - April 20th)
Exploring creative possibilities may expand your courage and your knowledge this week, Aries. You may develop an interest in an art or technology you know very little about or find yourself in the situation by default, such as being the only person left on the job to fill a position or learn a skill. For some time, your leadership abilities and your unique personal expression have been strongly affecting your work and immediate environment. Now you may be entering unfamiliar territory or meeting people who are so unlike you that you are not sure how to think or act. Enjoy the exciting feeling of being off-balance and out of your element as new people, information, and skills keep you guessing and fresh.

Taurus (April 21st - May 20th)
Your self-esteem and your plans all receive support this week, Taurus. If you are the person people come to for information or advice, you may want to think about taking that natural talent and making it marketable. Your creativity and communication skills are supercharged and writing, teaching, or speaking flows easily. Some possible writing material may be technical how-to information or an esoteric or eclectic subject. Behind the writing or teaching is a plain purpose or practicality, if only to share your wisdom. Don't judge yourself; simply express. There are new friends waiting to meet you who are refreshingly different and decidedly not boring.

Gemini (May 21st - June 21st)
It doesn't hurt to be skeptical or doubtful this week, Gemini, because you will seek to prove something wrong and you may learn something new in the process. That proverbial grain of salt can flavor something you think is preposterous just enough for you to bite and swallow. You may find it is something wonderful, even though no one knows about it yet. Be on the lookout for the strange, unique, or unusual to present itself as an opportunity for you to develop a home-based business or reach more people quickly in an existing business. Why can't sudden fame and popularity find you? Money talks or plans with your mate go well at the beginning of the week, or you may meet a kindred spirit then.

Cancer (June 22nd - July 22nd)
The same dynamic and positive energy that guided you last week is still in force now, Cancer. Money, purpose, career, and relationships should all be enhanced now while you are in a cycle that puts you comfortably outside of that Cancer shell, where you can connect with people. During the middle of the week, there may be some uncertainty around investments, business decisions, or what your true priorities in business truly are: the money or the people you help with your product, information, or services? Can it be both? Can you have scads of money for helping people? It may be a good time to look at your hidden beliefs about money and rid yourself of any guilt you may have over desiring or receiving large amounts of money. What great things could you do with heaps of money?

Leo (July 23rd - August 22nd)
Relationships are a key area for you this week, Leo. Friendships, work relationships, and romantic partnerships are all being influenced by the current lunar transit and planetary aspects. What you think and feel about love, the give-and-take of relationship, your needs, your values, your expectations, and your role in relationships may come under review. I know you know this, but it doesn't hurt for me to remind you that your friends, workmates, customers, neighbors, or lover are not you. "Well, duh, I know that!" you might be thinking as you read this. During the week, when anyone behaves contrary to what you feel is appropriate or doesn't agree with what you think, remind yourself of this and have a good laugh at yourself. Inventive Leos should be sure to patent, trademark, or protect their flash of genius idea. You may also study a school of thought that shifts your perceptions of life.

Virgo (August 23rd - September 22nd)
Happy Birthday, Virgo! For some reason, I know more Virgos born at the beginning of September than the whole rest of the Virgo time period. This week, the sun and Venus help you attract good things to you and when Mercury enters your sign at the end of the week, you will finally feel like you have the green light to advance your personal plans. Stress, too much work, or worrying may have made you fatigued recently and a current opposition between Mercury and Neptune may exacerbate that worry or fatigue. Take care of your body through rest, exercise, and diet modifications and see your doctor if you are still concerned. Spaciness or fatigue should fade by next week as the planets move on. Your calendar looks filled with friends, shopping, and a possible romantic escape this weekend.

Libra (September 23rd - October 23rd)
Present an idea or work on a sales pitch at the beginning of the week, Libra, when the planets are supporting you. During the middle of the week, you may experience frustration as your creativity is limited by rules or someone who may just think their way is better or views your contribution to the job or group effort as a threat to their ego rather than a contribution for the benefit of all. You may learn a lot by observation now as you work on your own plans behind the scenes. By learning how NOT to do things, you can surpass your current place of employment when you leave to work for yourself, as some of you may be planning right about now. This may sound odd, but later this week, you may come to an internal decision to stay happy no matter what, because it's much nicer than the opposite of happy and it surprises people in a good way.

Scorpio (October 24th - November 21st)
You may negotiate a contract at the beginning of the week that can increase your income, Scorpio. Next, it may be time to knuckle down and work hard, especially if your contractual agreement involved something creative. Time management could be your biggest challenge this week because it looks like the planets may be distorting your sense of reality and location. If you are working at home, the line dividing home and family time from work time may get very fuzzy. If you work outside of home, family and home issues may intrude on your concentration at work. Some Scorpios may be seeking a new home situation that allows them enough space to create and work in an area reserved just for that purpose. Despite being frequently diverted and slipping in and out of time warps, you will have something concrete, and probably beautiful and functional, to show for your efforts at the end of the week.

Sagittarius (November 22nd - December 21st)
I do hope you are off from work this holiday Monday, Sagittarius. The moon in your sign is supported by Mercury and Mars, so there will be no sitting still for you. Volleyball on the beach or river rafting is more to your liking than commuting to work now. You can get back into the swing of work when your bank balance dips down and the urge for money settles in on Tuesday. You may experience what feels like a personal Mercury retrograde later this week as Mercury and Neptune create confusion between two communication and transportation areas of your chart. Double-check every piece of paper, check your basic vehicle maintenance needs, and pack the essentials in carry-on luggage if you fly now. Group activities later in the week can bring new friendships, contacts, or creative ideas to pursue.

Capricorn (December 22nd - January 19th)
Quiet time spent with your partner on Monday can deepen your bonds, Capricorn. If you are single and looking for love, you may want to spend time that day listing all the qualities you would like in a partner or composing your own singles profile. As you go over personal finances this week, be cautious about believing the hype about the economy. There are planetary transits now that can influence you to make unwise choices in money or investment moves. It is better to stay in the planning stages now and delay major purchases, investments, or changes until next week. Self-promotion, sales, or learning new skills at work are favored and a better outlet for your energy.

Aquarius (January 20th - February 18th)
Your psychic abilities are strong this week, Aquarius, but not when it comes to anything or anyone you are attached to emotionally. When it comes to making decisions in your own life, it is best to gather information and use your intelligence. It may be a mystery to you that you can be so right-on about something that you have no charge around, but when it comes to something important to you, all you get is a blank nothing or meaningless ridiculousness. You may be able to calmly predict a major world event, but have terrible luck choosing lottery numbers. Go with the quick pick option and leave it to the Universe. A renewed enthusiasm for work returns near the end of the week when a new way of doing things or a new source of income catches your attention.

Pisces (February 19th - March 20th)
Be careful this week, Pisces. You may think you know who you are and what makes you happy, but there is distorting energy flowing between Mercury and Neptune. Your ruling planet is Neptune and it is resting now in the 12th house of your subconscious, the dream state, and the collective. All areas of your life may have a fantasy-like quality now. If you happen to be falling further in love with someone thanks to Venus and the sun and, later this week, Mercury moving through your 7th house of relationship, you could be in so deep that you are losing yourself. Boundary issues are always a Pisces thing because you are just so much ocean and fog. There is a piece of you that sparks later in the week, urging you to consider loss of personal power or independence if you commit to a relationship now. A friend may help you see clearly if you are in a healthy and supportive relationship or if you are swimming over your head.

Astrological Trends for September 5-11

Posted on 10:34 PM by Unknown
Cross-posted from Aloha Astro

Enthusiasm, playfulness, and physical vitality are present the morning of Monday, September 5th, as the moon in the mutable fire sign of Sagittarius trines Mercury in the fixed fire sign of Leo. The moon is also quincunx Mars in the cardinal water sign of Cancer. If you happen to be off from work this Labor Day Monday, you may enjoy an outdoor adventure near or on water with friends to make the most of the favorable aspects today. The sun and Venus, loosely conjunct in the mutable earth sign of Virgo, are trine to Jupiter in the fixed earth sign of Taurus. Venus in Virgo is semi-sextile Saturn in the cardinal air sign of Libra. These aspect patterns increase the pleasure of good food and good company - perfect for a holiday gathering. Pluto in the cardinal earth sign of Capricorn square to Uranus in the cardinal fire sign of Aries continues to influence society as a whole or create tension between old and new in whatever area of life they affect in your own natal chart. Pluto sextile Chiron in the mutable water sign of Pisces and Neptune in the fixed air sign of Aquarius are conjunct Chiron in Pisces. Healing transformation that creates a better future is the potential within the Pluto/Chiron/Neptune energy. At lunchtime, the quincunx between the moon and Mars fades and the Sagittarius moon forms a sextile to Neptune in Aquarius. Your physical drive may slow down somewhat after lunch, but the Sagittarius moon sextile to Neptune in Aquarius indicates you will continue to make good memories with your friends as the afternoon and evening unfold.

Heightened conflictual energy between old and new, liberals and conservatives, established patterns of the past and innovative plans for the future occurs on Tuesday, September 6th, when the moon in the cardinal earth sign of Capricorn joins Pluto, intensifying the effect of the longstanding square between Uranus in Aries and Pluto. Additionally, an opposition now between Mercury in the fixed fire sign of Leo and Neptune in the fixed air sign of Aquarius can create confusion, tension, and obstinate attitudes. This is the kind of energy that can make people dig in their heels and hold their position in an argument even when they know they are wrong, so the wisest course of action may be to say nothing at all unless you absolutely must. Red tape and senseless rules are not easy to work around or change now. The Mercury/Neptune opposition will be in effect until September 12th and may feel like a Mercury retrograde period at times due to the distorting qualities of Neptune. Look at every piece of paper, contract, or communication twice. Within the United States, the events of September 11, 2001 may be revisited. While there is nothing wrong with remembering people who have died, I do think there is something wrong with perpetuating negativity or manipulating the public through sensationalism and fear. The Mercury/Neptune opposition may make people inclined to get caught up in drama now. Remember that most of what you see and experience is colored by your thoughts and emotions. You are always at power to choose how you feel, and choosing to feel happy or peaceful can miraculously change any situation. Venus in the mutable earth sign of Virgo is sextile Mars in Cancer all week long, producing demonstrations of practical caring and acts of service. Early this evening, the moon in Capricorn forms two wonderful and supportive trines. The moon trine the sun in Virgo and the moon trine Jupiter in Taurus can increase feelings of security and stability and also help you to work on projects or make wise choices on material needs when shopping or investing money. Both these trines will also help to limit the possible challenges of the square between the Capricorn moon and Saturn in Libra that develops later this evening. If you have a partner, you or your mate are willing to compromise or make allowances for the greater good of the relationship. If you are single, you may not find perfection when looking for a partner now, but you are likely to find a person who is looking for a realistic and enduring relationship.

A "can-do" attitude prevails the morning of Wednesday, September 7th, thanks to the moon in the cardinal earth sign of success-driven Capricorn trine Venus in the mutable earth sign of practical, purposeful Virgo. At lunchtime, the Capricorn moon moves into an opposition to Mars, the planet of action, in Cancer. This can increase the chances of people feeling hurt or resentful and it can also affect material objects. If you allow yourself to feel agitated, you may break things accidentally, so make an effort to remain calm until this opposition is a memory tomorrow. Tonight, the moon in Capricorn forms a quirky and unsettled quincunx to Mercury in the fixed fire sign of Leo. With the moon opposing Mars, and Mercury opposing Neptune, you might not know what to think, do, or say this evening while the planets create a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" energy pattern. The best use of this challenging energy pattern may be to apply it creatively in an artistic hobby where you can try out different words, colors, or sounds that you can change or discard as the mood suits you.

You may find change the logical solution to any problem on Thursday, September 8th, as the moon in the fixed air sign of intelligent, future-oriented Aquarius forms a supportive sextile to radical Uranus in Aries. The moon also makes a semi-sextile to transformative Pluto in Capricorn and semi-sextile to healing Chiron in Pisces conjunct Neptune in Aquarius. A fresh start with a well thought out, firm foundation may be what you need. Later this evening, a conflict may arise between what is possible and what is not, when the inventive Aquarius moon forms a square to practical Jupiter in Taurus. You may also have an urge for something original or untried while the comfort of familiar pleasures say, "Pick me!" Go with the unproven or new and you may find a new favorite.

Do you need to make a presentation, win a debate, or convince someone of something? The morning of Friday, September 9th, is a perfect planetary window of time for you to show your smarts and argue your viewpoint while staying calm, cool, and collected. The rational Aquarius moon forms a supportive trine to precise Saturn in diplomatic Libra and also forms a quincunx to the sun in the practical earth sign of Virgo. Mercury, planet of thought and communication, has left the fixed fire sign of Leo and is now in the much cooler and less dramatic mutable earth sign of Virgo. Mercury in Virgo forms a quincunx to Uranus in Aries until September 13th, helping you find new or alternative ways of doing things and bringing "Eureka!" possibilities. On the global level, there may be new laws introduced or new technology revealed that pertain to healthcare or the environment. The trine between the moon and Saturn fades early this evening, but a quincunx between the Aquarius moon and Venus in Virgo keeps all relationships in the foreground. Love tends to be logical, slightly platonic, or mutually supportive, as in, "you wash my back, I'll wash yours." This may not seem overly romantic to you, but any relationship begun now will be based on a strong friendship, shared priorities, and mutual respect, which can help you and your lover stand the test of time. Use the energy of practical love to post a singles profile or date systematically with the goal of finding the perfect life partner and you may be glad you did.

On the morning of Saturday, September 10th, the moon in the fixed air sign of Aquarius joins Neptune in Aquarius and Chiron in Pisces and forms a quincunx to Mars in Cancer while also forming a quincunx to Venus in Virgo. Combined, Mars, Venus, and the moon form what is called a Yod, or Hand of God aspect pattern, with the moon/Neptune/Chiron conjunction being the focal point. I have a feeling that this will bring a subtle shift to society that we may not notice immediately that has to do with honoring the earth and feminine energy. People may become aware of the need to treat the earth and all her people with greater respect, caring, and compassion. There could be a silent collective agreement that we have come to an ultimatum point and something must be done now if we are to have the planet and society we wish to leave to our children. Mercury in Virgo trine Pluto in Capricorn and quincunx to Uranus in Aries further emphasizes that the time for new ways of being and doing has arrived. The Yod fades by midday, but has left its mark on your consciousness. You may contemplate the logistics of change and healing in your personal life and the world as the moon enters the mutable water sign of spiritual and inspirational Pisces, where it joins Chiron and opposes Mercury in Virgo. I see this opposition to the Pisces moon as a time for spiritual and emotional triage. The Pisces/Virgo opposition also speaks of the need to practice forgiveness.

A morning of contentment is possible on Sunday, September 11th, when the moon in the sensitive mutable water sign of Pisces forms a supportive sextile to pleasure-loving Jupiter in the fixed earth sign of sensual Taurus. Appreciate all that is beautiful and wonderful in your life now. Early in the afternoon, the Pisces moon forms a quincunx to Saturn in Libra. If you are watching the news or reading the paper, images and stories of September 11, 2001 may leave you with poignant and mixed emotions. It is difficult to understand things that are senseless and violent now while under the influence of the energy of beauty, balance, and spirituality that the Saturn/moon aspect brings. Saturn can be a cold and hard planet when its negative qualities are expressed. This moon/Saturn quincunx offers the choice between forgiving and moving ahead or carrying a grudge and being stuck in the negative vibrations of the past. In the early evening, Venus in Virgo forms a quincunx to Neptune in Aquarius conjunct Chiron in Pisces. This aspect plainly shows that love and forgiveness is the only correct and true path to emotional healing and a healthy, productive society.

Horoscope for August 29 - September 4

Posted on 1:15 AM by Unknown
Cross-posted from Aloha Astro

Aries (March 21st - April 20th)
For some time now, Aries, the planet Uranus has been mixing some electrical energy into your fire, making you an unpredictable live wire. This has enabled you to become a quick change artist and an innovative risk-taker, but it may have caused friction with your partner or coworkers. Maybe you've been more than they can handle lately or you've been too busy rushing around to notice them. The new moon energy this week in the earth sign of Virgo helps you to develop plans and systems, find a practical and productive pace, and be aware of the needs of other people. The new moon in your 6th house of work, service, health, and habits can also make you see the benefits of a regular rest, diet, and exercise regimen. A little humility, modesty, and temperance goes a long way to improving all your relationships, including the one you have with yourself.

Taurus (April 21st - May 20th)
The Virgo new moon influencing your week is perfectly in harmony with your own element, Taurus. To top things off, it occurs in your 5th house of creativity, romance, and fun. But wait - there's more! Aspects between the other transiting planets give you the power of mind over matter mixed with an optimism that makes you a mighty manifester now. There has been a long transit making you fearful because of the instability you feel in the world at large. Yes, there are crazy things going on. Do what you can about things that worry you, but if there is nothing you can do, forget about it and go play. The most practical and productive thing you can do is to spend your time now doing what makes you happy. This world is a playground and grownup life is still a "let's pretend" game. Pre-tend happy relationships, fun activities, and profitable business now.

Gemini (May 21st - June 21st)
Home and psychological foundations are highlighted by the new moon in Virgo in your 4th house of home, Gemini. This can be an especially happy and productive week for you because the current planetary transits and aspects are tethering you to ground where you can make some serious advances in following practical business advice or working on your own inner programming. If you have been wanting to be a more effective person who has better relationships, a more service-oriented purpose, or just a cleaner desk and closets, you will come as close to perfect as you can get without irritating others this week. Just don't try to be too perfect or go too Pollyanna on people. Make it look like you are still striving, but leave a few imperfections so others feel comfortable around you. If home improvements are being planned or a new home is sought, include the whole family and listen to their ideas.

Cancer (June 22nd - July 22nd)
Communication, the sharing of creative ideas, and short trips and visits with family and friends keep you busy all week, Cancer. The new moon in Virgo falls in your 3rd house of communication, local travel, imagination, formative ideas, siblings, and neighbors. The transiting planets are also activating relationships with friends and your partner in pleasurable and productive ways. If you are a single Cancer looking to meet a partner now or just a sensitive Crab who wants more friends for positive support or increased business opportunities, now is the time to smile at people, strike up conversations, and hand out business cards or invitations. If your work is affected by the holiday shopping season, now is the time to amp up your advertising or production so you make the most of the season to come.

Leo (July 23rd - August 22nd)
You are stepping into a power time for money, income, and business productivity this week, Leo. Now that Mercury retrograde is no longer creating delays and the planets are putting you in harmony with the material world, put your plans into action and reap the harvest. You want your "den" ready for the winter ahead, so some of your work may be directed toward practical home improvement projects, purchasing things needed for the home or family, or simply accumulating as much money as you can and stocking up on basic material needs in bulk to reap the savings. If you have a partner, they are in harmony with the current family plans, but if you are single, you may be too work-focused now to do more than a bit of window shopping or light flirting.

Virgo (August 23rd - September 22nd)
Lucky you, Virgo! The new moon in your sign comes with a side-dish of Venus charm and delight, served up in your 1st house of self. As your birthday season begins, what present would you most like to receive? Keep it in mind, but be open to the possibility that whatever you really want, you may have to find or get on your own. Other people are more attracted to you now and want to give you attention, gifts, or just be with you. You have to get clear and precise on what you want so the Universe, your friends, or your partner can gift-wrap it for you. Making travel plans or exploring a new area with the idea to relocate is possible near the end of the week. On the mundane level, a total makeover of your beauty, wardrobe, budget, maybe a new telephone or computer, and your home is possible.

Libra (September 23rd - October 23rd)
The new moon in Virgo in your 12th house of the subconscious, the collective of society, and altered states of consciousness hints at the formation of plans you are keeping secret for now, or spiritual or metaphysical principles you may be applying in a systematic way in your life. Other planetary transits indicate you may be wanting to strengthen your manifesting abilities or feel more confident and secure in who you are and how you consciously create your reality. You may desire to feel more grounded in a home or in financial investments. Your busy 12th house may hold dreams and plans that require some research or practical testing. Find a pile of catalogs and magazines to help you create a vision board or treasure map. Keep your manifesting work private because it is all too young and uncertain now - all it would take is one negative comment at a vulnerable moment for you to tear things down and have to start again.

Scorpio (October 24th - November 21st)
Love, money, and friendship are all on the upswing, Scorpio. The new moon in Virgo occurs in your 11th house of friends, groups, organizations, and wish fulfillment. There are other planets currently favoring your financial flow and your intimate relationships. Some Scorpios may be making serious plans to marry and begin a family under the current trends. The biggest barrier to success in any area of life now is fear about the future or trust issues. Sometimes you have to go out on a limb to pick the juicy fruit. Don't look down now - or back to the past. When you decide that you want to do something or be with someone, the practical pieces of making it happen seem to fall into place easily, almost as if the Universe was waiting on you this time.

Sagittarius (November 22nd - December 21st)
Career advancement is the theme for you this week, Sagittarius. The Virgo new moon falls in your 10th house of career, reputation, and place in the outer world. Attention to methods, details, improving service to others, and making social contacts can help you improve your existing business or increase your current income. Some Sagittarians who are job hunting may find that perks such as health insurance or tuition assistance may be a deciding factor in which job they choose. Doing things the right way is a theme for you now. Every task seems to be an opportunity to exhibit perfection, quality, and integrity. Your reputation and income can only grow as a result.

Capricorn (December 22nd - January 19th)
An opportunity for personal empowerment or expansion comes this week, Capricorn. The Virgo new moon in your 9th house of higher education, foreign travel, philosophy, and communication offers various possibilities depending on where you are in your life right now. Some of you may decide to teach about a passion or hobby, some may return to school to master something they've always had an interest in, some may publish a book or accept a traveling job that brings them to new places. Whatever the expansion is, it seems to be a stepping stone to career advancement or greater income, but it may require more time away from home or family in the next few weeks. A partner is understanding and supportive of your plans.

Aquarius (January 20th - February 18th)
You are a practical metaphysician this week, Aquarius. All the psychic houses in your chart are active now, especially your 8th house, where the Virgo new moon took place. The 8th house rules serious issues in life that revolve around shared energy or assets and merged boundaries. Sex, death, taxes, metaphysics, insurance, investments, inheritance, business partnerships, and divorce are all 8th house interests. Use the discernment and practicality of the Virgo moon to get your business or insurance paperwork and plans in order. Is everything up-to-date and organized? Some Aquarians may gain through property, inheritance, or investments now or find themselves having to handle arranging care for elderly parents. The planet Pluto in your 12th house gives you an extra reserve of power and determination to get what you put your mind on now. Think practically and constructively. Know you deserve it and you will get it.

Pisces (February 19th - March 20th)
A simple formula for success in all areas of your life now, Pisces, is to give people what they want. Currently, you are a bit unsure of who you are exactly, but you have no trouble doing things when you know what to do! Just ask your mate, family, friends, or customers what makes them happy or what they need most now, and think about how you can make it happen for them. Business looks rock solid for you now and a romantic relationship may advance to a new level of commitment. A great deal of your pleasure and support comes from sharing ideas and plans with friends, but there is a risk of losing money if you back anyone else's projects now. Any opportunity that sounds too good to be true or causes a friend to pressure you into joining them should be avoided. Your own talent or business is enough.

Astrological Trends for August 29 - September 4

Posted on 1:08 AM by Unknown
Cross-posted from Aloha Astro

On Monday, August 29th, the new moon in the mutable earth sign of practical and purposeful Virgo joins the sun and Venus, the planet of affection and pleasure, also in Virgo. Together, this harmonious trio forms a productive trine to powerful Pluto in success-oriented Capricorn and a blessed trine to Jupiter, the planet of growth and abundance, in the material-minded fixed earth sign of Taurus. This morning, the Virgo trio also forms a quincunx to Uranus in Aries. Mercury, planet of thought and communication, in the fixed and creative fire sign of Leo is now direct, and is supported by a sextile to Mars in the sensitive and nurturing cardinal water sign of Cancer. After the past few weeks of delay energy a Mercury retrograde period may have delivered to you, today's new moon energy fully supports you in creating new plans and implementing them. A challenging square aspect between restrictive, serious Saturn in the cardinal air sign of relationship-minded Libra and Mars, the planet of action, in the cardinal water sign of emotional Cancer indicates that you may have to handle people with kid gloves or be mindful of your own emotional reactions to the comments or actions of other people. The square between Pluto in Capricorn and Uranus in Aries, which you have been dealing with for weeks now, continues to produce friction and possible breaking energy between new and old. As the moon progresses further this afternoon and leaves the sun and Venus behind, it forms a supportive sextile to Mars in Cancer, which encourages acting upon your gut instincts. If you have to make a decision, do what feels right to you. The practical Virgo moon is also semi-sextile to discerning Saturn in Libra, which can help you make the right choice. Later this evening, Mercury in Leo forms a semi-sextile to Mars in Cancer and a semi-sextile to the moon in Virgo, indicating your decisions, plans, thoughts, or speech are in harmony with your feelings and your actions.

Purposeful compassion or practical ingenuity that benefits others is possible the morning of Tuesday, August 30th, when the moon in the late degrees of the mutable earth sign of Virgo forms a quincunx to Neptune, the planet of spiritual inspiration, in the future-minded fixed air sign of Aquarius. Virgo is an earth sign, but its traditional planetary ruler is Mercury, the planet of thought. Aquarius is a cerebral, intellectual, inventive air sign. Virgo places service above all things and Neptune is a planet of sacrifice, grace, and Divine beauty. This quincunx can be quite powerful if it is applied to healing work or finding a solution to a problem that affects other people or society as a whole. The quincunx between the moon and Neptune remains in place this afternoon, but the moon moves into the cardinal air sign of relationship-minded, diplomatic Libra, where it now challenges Uranus in the pioneering cardinal fire sign of Aries. There may be some ruffled feathers you need to smooth or red tape you must unravel in order to put your plan into action. Ah, bureaucracy! Keep your patience now and remain polite in order to get what you want. The sun and Venus in Virgo trine Jupiter in Taurus and also trine Pluto in Capricorn go a long way toward ensuring you get what you want if you keep your attention on it and work at it - persistence pays off. Early this evening, the Libra moon squares controlling Pluto in Capricorn at the same time it opposes upstart Uranus in Aries, completing a cardinal T-square. By now, if you have been following the trends for a while, you may know how a cardinal T-square affects you personally based on past experience or looking to see where you have Libra, Aries, and Capricorn in your own natal chart. The issue here is individual will, desire to control, and the resistance to cooperation, so you may want to mind your own business this evening and let others mind theirs. If something absolutely must be discussed or decided, passing a Native American talking stick might be a good idea!

An aspect pattern that supports beauty and design on a material level gets Wednesday, August 31st, off to a happy start. If you are in a profession where the right sound, look, word, or image is important, the early part of the day puts you in flow with the Venus-ruled Libra moon conjunct precise Saturn in Libra. Together, the moon and Saturn in Libra form a quincunx to expansive Jupiter in material-minded, Venus-ruled Taurus, and also a semi-sextile to Venus and the sun in practical Virgo. The sun and Virgo also aspect Jupiter in Taurus with a trine. This is a perfect time for form following function under the influence of balance, proportion, harmony, and beauty. If you are not an artist or designer of any kind, you can still maximize this aspect by shopping for things that are both functional and beautiful. Get your shopping done by the middle of the afternoon, however, before the moon and Saturn in Libra form a challenging square to Mars in Cancer, which may cause emotional and intellectual incompatibility or conflict in all interactions between people. The semi-sextile between Venus/sun in Virgo and moon/Saturn in Libra will help people mind their manners, but they may try to kill each other with politeness! When the moon and Saturn in Libra activate Mercury in dramatic Leo through a sextile later this afternoon, the winner of any debate or competition is the one with the most cheek or chutzpah. Engaging in competitive sports or games tonight may be a good way for you to work off any accumulated stress from the day. The mind is stimulated tonight, which can make sleep difficult. Use the extra mental creativity to brainstorm or enjoy a hobby.

Does everything in life seem perfect this morning? A wonderful trine between the moon in the cardinal air sign of Libra and Neptune in the fixed air sign of Aquarius on the morning of Thursday, September 1st, can create emotional and mental harmony that is as close to perfect as you can get. Just the fact that you can turn the calendar page over today and anticipate the change of seasons may make you smile as you plan ahead for possible adventures this month. The day may become intriguing in the early afternoon when the moon leaves Libra and enters the fixed water sign of secretive Scorpio. The Scorpio moon is very active, with a quincunx to Uranus in the cardinal fire sign of Aries and a favorable trine from the moon to Neptune in Aquarius conjunct nearby Chiron in Pisces. Metaphysical investigation or exploring unusual ideas is possible under this influence. You may be willing to try something offbeat or alternative to bring about a personal change or healing. Some concrete proof of your unusual methods may be visible as early as this evening, when the Scorpio moon also forms a sextile to transformative Pluto in Capricorn. Emotion release or personal transformation can have a direct effect on your body or material manifestations. With Venus and the sun in Virgo still trine to Jupiter in Taurus, practical and grounded relationships are highlighted. Today's Scorpio moon being stirred by Pluto and Uranus may prompt you to take a risk on committing to a relationship because you feel the passion now as much as you feel the logical rightness of things.

Passion listens to the voice of reason the morning of Friday, September 2nd, as the moon in the fixed water sign of sultry Scorpio forms a sextile to Venus and the sun in level-headed Virgo. The Scorpio moon also opposes Jupiter in Taurus. An opposition to Jupiter is never entirely negative because Jupiter is so benevolent. I see this aspect pattern as a chance to examine your feelings about a relationship closely before getting in too deep. If there are any issues around trust or control, they should be dealt with now. The opposition fades by lunchtime, and a semi-sextile between the moon and Saturn in Libra enhances the ability to think clearly about your feelings. Around dinnertime, the Scorpio moon forms a trine to Mars in Cancer, making tonight the perfect time to wine, dine, and romance a potential partner or your beloved. Make sure the lights are low and there are candles. Ladies, dress like a femme fatale with curves and softness. Men, dress and act like James Bond. The extra spice from a semi-sextile between Mars in Cancer and Mercury in Leo helps couples enjoy the atmosphere and role-playing.

On Saturday, September 3rd, the day may begin quietly as the moon in the fixed water sign of sensitive Scorpio forms no major aspects to another planet until midday. A Scorpio moon is an excellent time for introspection and listening to your intuition. Be quiet and observe now. At midday, a problematic square between the Scorpio moon and Neptune in Aquarius can make you sensitive to the vibrations and noise of other people and boundary issues could arise. This is an aspect of stubbornness and distortion, so retreat may be the best tactic when confronted by anyone who seems unstable or out-of-sorts. This evening, when the moon leaves Scorpio and enters the mutable fire sign of adventurous Sagittarius, it forms an exciting trine to Uranus in Aries, but also an awkward square to Neptune in Aquarius conjunct Chiron in Pisces. There is a real possibility that some of you may throw caution to the wind and take risks that can jeopardize your physical safety or the safety of others. Please do not drink and drive tonight and be a safe, defensive driver. A semi-sextile between the Sagittarius moon and Pluto in Capricorn means the police may be out looking to write speeding tickets and pull in DUIs. Stay home and satisfy this temporary planetary urge for adventure and derring-do by watching an action movie.

Overly optimistic or expensive plans may need revision the morning of Sunday, September 4th. The moon in the mutable fire sign of eager Sagittarius is greedy for more or better as it forms a trine to abundant Jupiter in the material earth sign of Taurus. But the Sagittarius moon is being reined-in by a square to the sun and Venus in Virgo. You can't ignore practicality now. Maybe you have to stick to a budget or consider the needs of other people before spreeing or traveling. Early this afternoon, the Sagittarius moon forms a sextile to Saturn in the relationship-minded sign of Libra and Saturn forms a semi-sextile to the sun and Venus in Virgo. It does look like your plans must take into consideration the opinions or interests of your friends or family. Isn't that what relating is all about? A square between the moon in Sagittarius and the sun in Virgo may make you wish you could be a selfish child again, when your only concern was playtime and your own happiness. The sun/moon square is testing your emotional maturity and responsibility now and your ability to make nice with others. *sigh* This is the kind of aspect that makes you want to scribble mustaches on people's faces and poke fun at anything too proper or uptight. This puckish wickedness continues through the evening. Find something naughty to do or break a few minor rules, as long as they won't result in legal actions. Read a book or watch a movie with a vigilante hero or heroine. Come up with ideas that relax rules or make "have to" activities more fun.

Horoscope for August 22-28

Posted on 8:54 PM by Unknown
Cross-posted from Aloha Astro

Aries (March 21st - April 20th)
Mental and creative pursuits are more appealing than the emotional side of life this week, Aries. You may find yourself wishing your partner or family members were less needy, dramatic, or emotionally expressive and gave more of their energy to looking at things from a logical perspective or were more open to change and flexibility. Currently, the planets are stimulating your mind more than your heart and you are excited by the potential for fresh ideas or new social contacts that can advance your career and earning potential. The people close to you may feel insecure, unsure, and even threatened when you choose new activities or new friends over them. Reassure them that your own personal growth simply allows you to be more of the person they would most want you to be - yourself!

Taurus (April 21st - May 20th)
The planets support you in personal growth and attracting what you need or want, Taurus. However, there can be an easy path or a difficult path to follow. Neither one is right or wrong. The more difficult path of fear, worry, and emotional angst over work or health issues looks like the classic case of making mountains out of molehills, but you will learn just how powerfully you can build those mountains. It may not be easy to look away from those issues this week, but you have even stronger planetary energy that suggests using mind over matter, imagination, ingenuity, investigation, and communication to affect things on a very material level. List your problems or worries. Next to each one, write down solutions or other possibilities that you think would be good, better, and best. Creative life-scripting is a much better waste of time than fretting, isn't it?

Gemini (May 21st - June 21st)
Did this past weekend feel a bit slow and did you feel tired or languid, Gemini? The moon transiting your 12th house of the subconscious and dream state is to blame for the lethargy and dreaminess. Now the moon enters your 1st house of self at the beginning of the week and Mercury, the ruler of your sign, is about to turn direct after a retrograde period that may have kept your creative plans on hold. Yee-haw! Forward motion at last! But it seems you are not completely satisfied with how your money is flowing. Or you have not enough time to handle way too many tasks that both home and work require. Rather than beating yourself up over things, use your dissatisfaction to help you sort, eliminate, and prioritize on all levels. Despite your best attempts to micromanage your time, there may still be things that cut into your schedule, which are not personally productive. Be grateful for the time away from work, which is not ready to kick into full speed yet, anyway.

Cancer (June 22nd - July 22nd)
Balancing home, family, work, and an intimate relationship is the work of your week, Cancer. Pause and rest at home on Monday if you are able to do so. The planets indicate your energy is low then and a day to plan your week ahead and prepare for a fresh busy personal cycle would be wise. Some Crabs may have a radical change in work or career that upsets the entire flow of home life. A work-at-home job could take off now or you and a partner become workmates and business partners. There are more possible scenarios than I can write in this limited space. Increased physical activity, increased creative brainstorming with others, and a shifting of established work/family/home relationships and routines are the common themes. Energy picks up and flows out with much shifting and sometimes some confusion, but it is all pulling together by the end of the week.

Leo (July 23rd - August 22nd)
Changes in business or your investments and future plans can increase your income potential significantly, Leo. Do your research and when Mercury goes direct at the end of the week, make a fresh start or try something new. You may have some worry over the unknown factor, but "nothing ventured, nothing gained" is worth remembering when anxiety rises. You have one particular skill that you could master now that becomes a primary source of increased income for you. Advertise yourself as a specialist and see what happens. While the planets have their focus on you, it can be easy to lose sight of your partner or take them for granted. In your mind, everything you are doing to improve yourself and your business benefits them; therefore, you are expressing love through your actions. Make an effort to be verbally expressive in romance, as well.

Virgo (August 23rd - September 22nd)
Connecting with friends as well as networking for business reasons can take a lot of you at the start of the week, Virgo. This may be the kind of week where you feel you have things you must get through before you can be by yourself or do the things you want to do. Instead of feeling put-upon and letting resentment build on the inside, it may be better to declare your intentions and put your own needs before the needs of others. A tired, cranky Virgo is not a pleasant Virgo to be around, so putting your own happiness first benefits everyone close to you. A friend, group, or organization may ask for your assistance, but then ignore your wise advice. Don't take things personally, but do remove yourself and reclaim your sovereignty. Unexpected money or some other material gift may have a string attached or have to be used as soon as it arrives.

Libra (September 23rd - October 23rd)
You may have asked for increased business or more money, Libra. It could arrive now, but the downside is that the extra output of physical energy required to work harder could be taking a toll on your emotions. Your partner, family, and friends may be aware that you are extremely sensitive now. Some may be understanding and supportive, but others could get a bit of delight from seeing your image of perfection looking flawed like the rest of us mere mortals. I suggest you let go of your own high expectations of others and yourself this week and take things lightly if they go wrong or you become forgetful. The sterner and more controlling you try to be, the more resistant others around you become. Shifting energy this week affects you more strongly than most. By the time the weekend arrives, you will welcome a quiet time for your nervous system to recalibrate. Something you want to be perfect needs some more practice or polish before presentation next week.

Scorpio (October 24th - November 21st)
A lover or something you have been passionate about could come down off the pedestal this week, Scorpio. The feeling that no one or nothing is as perfect as you had believed can be especially sharp or poignant. What usually happens when you experience extreme emotions is an extreme outpouring of work or creative energy that is almost laser-like in its intensity. Now is no exception. The work arena currently looks like a place to show how unique and powerful you are. Even Scorpios who are not natural performers or artists may seek an impromptu audience to receive their emotional masterpieces, whether presented in words, music, or images. If you invite friends into your home, be sure to set clear boundaries. You may not know beforehand how much sharing of space you can tolerate, so be sure to have an escape plan or an agreed-upon departure time.

Sagittarius (November 22nd - December 21st)
Boundaries are shifting in business and friendships this week, Sagittarius. You may have grown too familiar or friendly with an employer and find yourself wondering just who the boss really is when your creative eagerness jumps in to take the wheel. It may be time to move beyond apprentice level at something and become a master. It may be time to risk self-employment in order to grow beyond an earning limit. You may be disappointed if you rely on a friend or organization now, but it could be your expectations are too great. The driving desire you have to increase your income may not be shared by others to the same degree. Being a self-employed person or a business owner might mean less freedom and play time and more responsibility and work, so be sure you are loving what you do.

Capricorn (December 22nd - January 19th)
Be careful when it comes to money at the beginning of the week, Capricorn. You may want something so badly that you are willing to believe anything or overlook some glaring pitfalls, especially if a home or property is involved. You have a planetary aspect right now that would make timeshare salespeople and shady realtors move in for the kill. Take time to think twice, explore other options, and put off making a decision until after Mercury turns direct on the 26th. Your personal presence and strong persuasive speech can make wishy-washy people tremble. Stay in integrity when dealing with people who are affected by your power now. If you are married or have a steady romantic partner, be sure to include them in your plans. Asking their opinion before making decisions that they should be a part of is a gesture of common courtesy that can help keep the peace in an otherwise hectic week.

Aquarius (January 20th - February 18th)
How you want things to be and how they are might not line up neatly this week, Aquarius. Part of the problem is timing. You may have to wait for the retrograde Mercury to fully be behind you and the sun to get settled into Virgo before things crystalize. Another reason for the delay is that you are either not sure about what you want or you don't feel you deserve it. Getting it might mean work you aren't willing to be tied to just yet. You may have to learn new things or have to become more effective in making business decisions. You may feel naive and inexperienced and not sure if you are up to the task of yet another round of changes. Putter your way through these dilemmas by taking care of mundane chores that need to be done and taking one step after another as they present themselves.

Pisces (February 19th - March 20th)
Your intuition and psychic guidance system is being colored by what you want to believe this week, Pisces. You may be right-on when it comes to things you have no emotional connection to, but if you have an outcome you desire, it will take a strength of will to release your attachment to it. There are potent manifesting lessons for you this week, as you observe that attachment pushes things away and non-attachment allows you to receive. Some other manifesting lessons involve learning how to be precise in your intentions through words or images and determining if you are wanting to manifest an actual thing or the emotion you think the thing will deliver. Some Pisces may have a windfall related to a partnership or have a change in personal values or tastes so profound that they find themselves attracted to a "type" they never were attracted to before.

Astrological Trends for August 22-28

Posted on 8:47 PM by Unknown
Cross-posted from Aloha Astro

A strong desire for change sets off the week on Monday, August 22nd, as the moon in the mutable air sign of Gemini forms a quincunx to powerful Pluto in the cardinal earth sign of traditional Capricorn and a supportive sextile to erratic Uranus in the cardinal fire sign of pioneering Aries. This aspect pattern makes you feel that something has got to give or a better way to do things can be found if you explore the possibilities. The sun in the fixed fire sign of creative Leo opposes inspirational Neptune in the fixed air sign of experimental Aquarius, indicating that there may be many mistakes and instances of trial and error before new creative ways to affect the future or solve problems with ingenuity can be found. Venus in the practical and mutable earth sign of Virgo, which is conjunct the sun in the late degrees of Leo, also opposes Neptune. Venus in Virgo also forms a quincunx to Uranus in Aries at lunchtime, giving you the mindset to try and try again and explore yet another new option. Mars, the planet of action, in the cardinal water sign of emotional Cancer forms a supportive sextile to Jupiter, the planet of growth, in the steady fixed earth sign of Taurus, but forms a challenging square to disciplined Saturn in the cardinal air sign of perfectionist Libra. You can achieve what you want on the material level right now, but not without some angst. Even after accomplishing what you set out to do, you may feel like you fell just short of your mark. Give yourself points for persistence and patience. Uranus in upstart Aries continues to square Pluto in establishment-oriented Capricorn and create the conflict between old and new, especially in politics and the world economy. Use this energy to your advantage to ruthlessly clean out your closets and release things you no longer need or get rid of anything that is broken to make room for new things. Early this evening, the flirtatious Gemini moon forms a favorable trine to Saturn in Libra, enhancing all relationships, but especially the romantic kind. The Gemini moon is also semi-sextile to Mars in Cancer and semi-sextile Jupiter in Taurus. Lively conversation can lead to pleasure on the physical and emotional level.

A second chance to present a creative idea is possible on Tuesday, August 23rd, as the moon in the imaginative air sign of Gemini forms a stimulating sextile to Mercury retrograde in the fixed fire sign of creative Leo. The sun has left the fixed fire sign of Leo to enter the mutable earth sign of Virgo. The solar season of Virgo coincides with children returning to school, the season of harvest, and preparation for the winter months ahead. It is not easy to imagine cold winter days just yet when the weather is still so summery, but the daylight gets shorter every day and many of us turn our attention toward home maintenance and getting our "nest" ready for more indoor activities. A wonderful, productive trine forms now between Venus conjunct the sun in Virgo and Pluto in Capricorn, which will be in effect until August 30th. This aspect will increase trust and intimacy in established relationships and help singles to know exactly what they want in terms of an enduring romantic relationship. It will also help you to manifest what you need materially and if you are an artist, builder, or hobbyist, now is the perfect time to work on your projects for both pleasure and profit. Venus and the sun in Virgo also oppose Neptune in Aquarius conjunct Chiron in Pisces. This mixed combination of precise and diffuse, emotional and intellectual energy can create confusion around how to achieve your end result or a desire for a perfection you can only imagine but not translate into material form. This afternoon and evening, no other major aspects to the Gemini moon occur, making it a good night to enjoy TV, a movie, a good book, or conversation with a friend.

An emotional day is ahead on Wednesday, August 24th, as the moon in the cardinal water sign of emotional Cancer forms a supportive trine to inspirational Neptune in sensitive Pisces. Make the most of the peace and harmony this aspect delivers early today. At midday, the moon in Cancer forms a sextile to the sun conjunct Venus in Virgo, which makes people more compassionate and concerned for the needs of other people. If you have to ask for a favor, now is a good time to ask before the cardinal T-square develops later today, making people too opinionated, controlling, inflexible, or defensive. Uranus in Aries forms a square to both the moon in Cancer and Pluto in Capricorn. The Cancer moon also opposes Pluto. Later this evening, the T-square fades as the moon falls out of aspect to Uranus and Pluto. Now the Cancer moon sidles up to Mars and forms a supportive sextile to Jupiter in the fixed earth sign of steady Taurus. Tempers cool down and people are ready to apologize for outbursts and drama. Any emotions that were stirred by the T-square this afternoon should stabilize tonight. Physical activities or paying attention to your physical and material desires and needs is relaxing and grounding. There is nothing wrong with eating a big bowl of ice cream when it has a medicinal purpose!

Tread lightly around others, especially your significant other or boss, on Thursday, August 25th, when the moon conjunct Mars in the cardinal water sign of Cancer squares Saturn in Libra. Only one person can be boss right now and it looks as though each person thinks he or she should be IT! At lunchtime, the moon and Mars form a mild semi-sextile to Mercury retrograde in Leo, which can make power struggles verbally comical for eavesdroppers, but not necessarily for those wrapped up in their own debate. The moon moves away from Mars as the evening progresses and forms no other major planetary aspects. The need to control or argue diminishes, but now is not the time to issue ultimatums or create any further emotional drama. Comfort food, a warm bath, and a soft bed are a delight when the moon is in the home-loving, nurturing sign of Cancer.

An inspired solution to a problem may come about as a result of an emotional need on Friday, August 26th, when the moon in the final degrees of the cardinal water sign of Cancer forms a quincunx to Neptune in the fixed air sign of Aquarius. You may also receive a blessing or gift that arrives just in the nick of time. At midday, the moon leaves Cancer and enters the fixed fire sign of Leo, where it forms a semi-sextile to the sun conjunct Venus in practical Virgo and a quincunx to Neptune in intellectual Aquarius conjunct Chiron in sensitive Pisces. In the early afternoon, the Leo moon also forms a favorable trine to genius Uranus in the cardinal fire sign of headstrong Aries and a quincunx to potent Pluto in willful Capricorn. This amazing blending of energy makes me think of a theater production with many sets, scenes, actors, and an excited audience in place, waiting for the magic of the show to begin. Together, all the planets today make a theater production of their own. If you have a major plan or project you wish to pursue or present, now is the time to gather your talent and energy so you can direct the play! There is an audience waiting to see what you've got for them. Mercury is about to go direct - are you ready?

On Saturday, August 27th, the moon in the fixed fire sign of Leo joins Mercury in Leo. Mercury has gone direct and the extra oomph it receives from the moon feels like a big cheer and applause. Together, the moon and Mercury in Leo form a supportive sextile to Saturn in Libra, which assists you in working cooperatively with other people, especially in creative endeavors. The moon and Mercury also square Jupiter in Taurus, which creates a reality check or stopgap if your enthusiasm gets too out-of-control or your plans are too over-the-top. At lunchtime, the moon/Mercury square to Jupiter fades and the moon forms a semi-sextile to Mars, the planet of action, in nurturing Cancer. You and everyone else will be more demonstrative in body and emotions now. Early this evening, the sun conjunct Venus in Virgo enters a favorable exchange of energy through a trine to Jupiter in the fixed earth sign of Taurus. If you have any shopping to do, this is the perfect evening to do it, especially if you have been delaying purchases of electronics or appliances during the Mercury retrograde period. You will find good deals on practical things now.

Another day that resembles a theater production arrives on Sunday, August 28th, as the moon in the late degrees of the fixed fire sign of dramatic Leo opposes Neptune in the fixed air sign of detached Aquarius. Early this afternoon, the moon leaves the sign of Leo and enters the mutable earth sign of Virgo, where it joins the sun in Virgo and then Venus in Virgo. The moon will intensify the aspects that are already in place: the trine between Venus/sun in Virgo and Pluto in Capricorn, the opposition between Venus/sun and Neptune in Aquarius conjunct Chiron in Pisces, the quincunx between Venus/sun and Uranus in Aries. The trine between Venus in Virgo and Jupiter in Taurus is the last aspect to be intensified as the evening progresses. In many ways, all the energy of the week seems to come around again for a review, much like the curtain call at the end of a play, but this time, the "actors" seem to be performing better, since they had their dress rehearsal! The heavy influence of Virgo energy seems to be saying, "Pay attention and get with the program!" Now is the time to take care of the details, itemize, and prioritize as you write your own script for the week ahead. When all the planets got activated under the Cancer moon earlier in the week, things began to move on the emotional level as desire for new beginnings and forward motion was stimulated. Now the Jupiter/Venus trine and the Virgo moon activating the sun and Mercury in Virgo are taking care of the practical side of things and showing you how to manifest your desires and put your plans into action.

Horoscope for August 15-21

Posted on 9:18 PM by Unknown
Cross-posted from Aloha Astro

Aries (March 21st - April 20th)
You and a partner may share a dream of home, family, and increased financial security this week. If you are single, a dream of finding the perfect partner could drive you to increase your income. The planets are giving you strong creative manifesting power that enables you to imagine what you desire and bring it into reality. For Rams wanting to conceive a child, the first two days of the week are an ideal time to try. An urge for change may be directed toward your career or home, but it may be something new inside you that wants to be expressed. Friends may mean well when giving you advice, but they can also confuse or limit you. Follow your own heart.

Taurus (April 21st - May 20th)
Your world will expand from the comfort of your own home this week, Taurus. Social networking and the Internet could be ways that you meet new people and learn new things. Your personal warmth, charm, and sense of humor are fired up by the glow of the sun, Venus, and Mercury, making you a magnet for attention and increasing your desire to be surrounded by kindred souls. You may also be dreaming of a new home or getting ready to move. Your self-esteem is getting a good boost, as well, because your communication skills are in high demand. A piece of you is happily watching seeds of your future being sown now and, in your quiet moments, you wonder what fruit those seeds will bear. Watch that you don't commit to more work than you can handle at the end of the week.

Gemini (May 21st - June 21st)
"How can I make more money?" may be on your mind this week, Gemini. Creative ideas are going off like fireworks and you are willing to talk and promote yourself now. Trust your own instincts in business rather than the voice of establishment or anyone who tells you something can't be done. You do have a guardian angel, spirit guide, or an inner wisdom that only laughs at "No way" right now. A financial investment in yourself could bring a change in you that shifts your energy and allows you to accept fame, popularity, and greater success. Making money can become a game where you joyfully see your money grow rather than a chore you dread with diminishing returns.

Cancer (June 22nd - July 22nd)
Your energy output is high this week, Cancer, as you push to increase your income. The desire for more money or career growth connects you with more people. The more people you connect with, the more energy you pick up from others. Being a sensitive, emotional water sign, you know that you need to do an occasional boundary check and some energy balancing and clearing work. This is especially important now while you are more socially active or traveling to new environments. Home is always your refuge, so keep it serene and clutter-free to make the most of what little time you spend there this week. A change in your career plans or work schedule, or that of your partner's, may cause a touchy adjustment phase for a few days. Don't fall for an ideal or an image when it comes to an investment of your money. Ask to see facts and figures before making any big purchase or investment.

Leo (July 23rd - August 22nd)
A re-commitment to a business plan, along with some revisions, is possible this week, Leo. You may have lost sight of your goal or what you want to create has changed. In work matters, you may shock co-workers, customers, or the boss with a new mindset or experimental methods. You are willing to try anything wherever you feel discontent or stagnant energy because any change feels better than treading water. There is some fogginess or confusion in the realm of romance. Venus, Mercury, and the sun all in your sign may have you too centered on yourself and your partner may wander or tire of hearing you talk so much about yourself. It is also possible that you just see the things that you want to see in a relationship or have unreal expectations. Whatever the case, look twice and appreciate what you have. Follow the old Golden Rule, "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you," in all your interactions this week. "Walk a mile in their moccasins," is another apt adage to keep you humble and kind.

Virgo (August 23rd - September 22nd)
Many things are happening for you in the subconscious or dream state, Virgo. You are coming to the end of a yearly cycle and preparing for a new one that is approaching. Periods of rest, retreat, and review blended with creative anticipation of the future are necessary to stay calm and stress-free. Wonderful connection aspects are in place now that can deepen existing relationships or help you find new friends or a lover who shares your same values and tastes. One such meeting may require you to step out of a comfort zone and do something new or make a decision about someone without investigation, thought, or review. Trust your intuition and body signals for correct choices. Trip planning or sales work may also be a big part of your week.

Libra (September 23rd - October 23rd)
A powerful work/money/business/career day happens for you this Monday, Libra. If you are applying for a job, starting a business, making a presentation, or having to make a strong impression in any way, the planets are behind you 100%. I hesitate to say that all this support can ward off the notorious Mercury retrograde effects on new endeavors, but if you can't wait until the end of August, do it Monday. Mercury retrograde can be a good time to renew, rework, or reintroduce something, in which case, Monday may make the second time the charm on an old project or plan. A group or public announcement, popularity, and demand for your product, service, or presence comes on the heels of Monday's launch. A bittersweet aspect may cause confusion if you are feeling like "more than friends" about a friend who just wants to be friends. If you have a mate, you may want more space and time with your friends than one-on-one now. The week ends with a possible major business or career success.

Scorpio (October 24th - November 21st)
The extremes of love can fuel your creativity this week, Scorpio. Your sign already feels the high and low, light and dark, sorrow and joy in everything as part of your perceptive, emotional nature, but the current planets are exaggerating the awareness of polarity. Meditating on the yin-yang symbol may help you feel balanced now. Creative and artistic, Scorpios can make good use of the energy of ardent desire and wistful longing in their charts now. Both in work and in love, there may be something that feels like it falls short of the mark or is not quite how you want it to be. Keep in mind that Scorpio is never happy when something comes too easily. In fact, the more challenging or dangerous something is, the more fascinated Scorpio becomes. Family may not like extra hours you spend on work now, especially if they have become accustomed to having you around most of the time. Parents who are back to a full-time schedule after spending summer vacation with their children may be sad school is resuming.

Sagittarius (November 22nd - December 21st)
Make no big money moves or changes this week, Sagittarius. Keep everything in the planning stage and use this week to get information, ask questions, and get honest testimonials or experienced advice. If you have children, they may require an outlay of more than you anticipated for back-to-school needs. This entire week involves errands, chores, and taking care of the details of daily living. Friends or an organization may be a source of more business or support for you. Instead of thinking something you want is unobtainable, why not be open to creative ways to receive what you want? A neighborhood yard sale, barter, or trade ad may help you manifest what you desire. Keep up an attitude of positive expectancy and gratitude for what you already have to help you receive more and spend less.

Capricorn (December 22nd - January 19th)
Although we may still have some warm weather ahead, there is already a hint of fall in the air, Capricorn. Your sign is partial to crisp air, flannel shirts, wool sweaters, and leather boots. Many business-oriented Capricorns really get into the whole power business suit thing, which looks much snappier in the cooler months than in the hot, humid summer. Just like your sister earth sign, Virgo, is beginning to feel the approach of a new cycle, you are feeling the approach of a season that suits you well. Winter is your season of new beginnings, but fall is a harvest time and mustering of your mental and physical energy for a last great effort before you close out your year. The planets highlight communication and all kinds of relationships now, which help you push your plans forward. Mercury retrograde, Venus, and the sun help you go over business plans and long-term financial goals. If you, your family, or your partner must make adjustments, you can implement changes this week, but not without some fuss, perhaps!

Aquarius (January 20th - February 18th)
Working on yourself, your mind, and your beliefs about yourself and life in general is the true work of your week, Aquarius. There is an episode of the SpongeBob SquarePants cartoon where SpongeBob and Patrick decide to have an opposite day. This week, any time you catch yourself in a negative thought or situation, declare the exact opposite to be the case instead. The power to overwrite old programs in your subconscious and install an effective new mindset is within you, but you must set the intent. A lost-in-space feeling is possible as you tap into the un-you, new-you, or alter-you. Trying to identify who you really are isn't easy now because your mind is building new form and structure at a rapid rate and you are trying to catch up. Home improvement, self-improvement, and a peek into your hidden aspects through interactions with others is what your week is all about.

Pisces (February 19th - March 20th)
If you need to make a stand or a presentation, Pisces, Monday and Tuesday are your best days of the week to make an assertive move and get what you want. A personal makeover, new wardrobe, or a new health regimen can give you the energy and confidence you need to be effective at work, especially if you are self-employed. The only difficulty present for most Pisces now involves friends, groups, or an organization that are non-supportive, outright obstructive, or no longer aligned with your own personal values. If it is money you seek from a bank or other traditional backer, you may find your request is considered too extreme or risky or your plans for the money don't meet with the lender's approval. You may have to find alternative means of raising cash and you have the creative skill to do this. The second pitfall to avoid is feeling too small or inexperienced to do so. Courage to try and faith in your ideas can make all the difference.
